Mystic Seaport Admits Kids for Free Every Monday in July

Mystic, Conn ~ Kids 17 and under will be admitted into Mystic Seaport for free every Monday in July (July 6, 13, 20 and 27).

This special month-long offer is limited to four children per one paying adult.

Regular Museum admission price for youth ages 6 - 17 is $15. A family with four children visiting Mystic Seaport will realize a savings of $60.

New family-friendly activities offered at the Museum this summer include Map Spot: Exploring the World of Maps, a hands-on exhibit providing opportunities for collaborative learning and play; a Nautical Instrument Cart that introduces basic navigation techniques and tools; and Restoring an Icon: The Charles W. Morgan, an interactive exhibit that interprets the preservation of the last wooden whaleship in the world.

Additionally, children can discover stars in the Planetarium, take part in a participatory play about whaling, play 19th-century games, explore the Children’s Museum and create their own toy boat keepsake in the Museum’s Hand-On History Program. Other Hands-On History workshops include wood carving, smithing, candle dipping, printing and scrimshaw carving. A fee of $5 is charged per workshop.

Mystic Seaport is the nation’s leading maritime museum. The Museum is located one mile south of exit 90 off I-95 in Mystic, CT, and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $24 for adults and $15 for children ages 6-17.
