Help a North Shore Native Win $50,000!

Happy New Year!
baystateparent contributing writer, Amy Rodriguez of Belmont, sent us the following note regarding
her friends, Kelly Conboy Ragan (hometown of Byfield, MA) and Andrew Ragan. She asks us to take a few
minutes in the new year to vote for them in the Pepsi Refresh Everything contest (by January 31st). They are trying to win a $50,000 grant to help others with ALS. All you have to do is click to vote (see link at the bottom).

Background on Kelly and Andrew
Kelly and Andrew were college sweethearts. They married after college and had two beautiful sons. Life was good until four years ago when Andrew received the horrific news that he had ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. ALS is a progressive neuromuscular disease with no known cure. Life expectancy is three to five years. Andrew has been fighting the disease for four years, while continuing to raise his two little boys. Even though he is sick, he and Kelly are thinking about helping others. They hope to raise money for The ALS Guardian Angels, who help with homecare, childcare, medical equipment, and final wishes. Please take a moment to vote for this wonderful cause, knowing that you will be helping other families deal with a devastating disease.

You can vote by clicking on this link:
or by texting 104660 to 73774.
You may vote every day through January.
