RECALL:Frankenstein Tumbers due to Lead Paint Violation

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with Dollar General Merchandising of Tennessee, yesterday announced a voluntary recall of about 63,000 Frankenstein Tumblers. Surface paint on the center of the eyes of some of the cups can contain high levels of lead, violating the federal lead paint standard. They were sold at Dollar General stores nationwide in September 2007 for about $1 and manufactured in China.
Consumers should immediately take these tumblers away from young children and return them to the store where purchased for a refund or replacement product. For additional information, contact Dollar General at 800-678-9258 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, or visit http://www.dollargeneral.com/
