Online Auction Benefits Jacob's Pillow. Ends June 11th

What: Brand new in 2008, Jacob’s Pillow has launched an online auction at www.jacobspillow.cmarket.com that includes a broad array of distinctive lots available for online bidding.
In previous years, only Gala attendees have been able to bid on coveted live auction items, but the online auction allows the general public the opportunity to take part for the first time.
The online auction offers more than 20 varied and unique lots, including a pair of pointe shoes autographed by ballet star Nina Ananiashvili; luxurious trips to Mexico and San Francisco; private outings with celebrities of the dance world such as Wendy Whelan, David Michalek and Rasta Thomas; fine art dance photography; garden and interior design consultations; private Pilates classes; and more. Current leading bids range from $50 - $3,000.
All proceeds from the online auction and Jacob’s Pillow Season Opening Gala support the Festival, Archives, School, and Community Programs at Jacob’s Pillow, an internationally renowned dance organization that furthers dance creation, presentation, education, preservation and engagement.

When: The online auction will run through June 11, with select items carrying over to the live auction, held during the Jacob’s Pillow Season Opening Gala on June 14.

Live Auction: The live auction will take place at the Season Opening Gala beginning at 5pm on June 14. The Gala includes a cocktail reception, performances by Bill T. Jones. Garth Fagan Dance, Keigwin + Company and others, dinner, dancing and more. Tickets range from $350 – 750 and are available by calling 413.243.9919 x24.
