There is something for everyone on Father's Day - Sunday June 15 - at the 14th annual Children's Museum of Easton's 5 mile race and 2 mile "fun walk"!
For the competitive runner or the recreational fitness enthusiast, the certified course loops through historic North Easton,around scenic Ames Long Pond in Stoughton and back to the finish at the Children's Museum.
For families, kids and more "laid back" athletes the 2-mile non-competitive "fun walk" follows the first two miles of the race route.
A festive post-race party features ice cream - a Museum race tradition - great tunes by DJ Nate Adams of The Special Touch of Attleboro and thirst- quenching beverages, fruit, and lots more!
Race Features The course begins on Main Street and winds through historic North Easton Village, past world-renowned H.H. Richardson buildings and F.L.Olmstead landscapes, around scenic Ames Long Pond in Stoughton, and returns to the Children’s Museum for the finish. The picturesque course is mostly flat, with a few rolling hills. Bathrooms are available at the start. There are 3 water stops along the course. Mile splits are called at all mile markers. A festive, post-race party, raffles and awards ceremony follows the finish. Results are posted immediately following the race. Supervised childcare is available for children of pre-registrants only.
Walkers: A 2 mile non-competitive course for walkers. Parents, put the kids in a stroller and come have fun celebrating families!
